Xul Solar (Oscar Agustín Alejandro Schulz Solari) (Argentina, 1887-1963)
He traveled through Europe in 1912 and networked with German expressionists. He met Emilio Pettoruti in 1916 in Florence and returned to Argentina with him in 1924. He joined the Martín Fierro group, where he forged a friendship with Jorge Luis Borges. Fascinated by religions and esotericism, he developed a belief system that influenced his work. In 1920 he had a show in Milan, and he was featured at Primer Salón Libre [First Open Salon] in Argentina.
