Edgardo Antonio Vigo (Argentina, 1928-1997)
A magazine editor, experimental poet, self-taught woodcut, and mail artist, he studied at Escuela de Bellas Artes de La Plata. He traveled to France in 1953 for a scholarship and got in touch the international art scene. On his return to Argentina he developed his “useless objects” and conducted public actions called Señalamientos [Signals]. His work adopted a political approach in the seventies, using mail art to spread his message.
