Tomás Maldonado (Argentina, 1922-Italy, 2018)
He studied at Academia Nacional de Bellas Artes. In the 1940s he signed a manifesto against the academicism of Salón Nacional and wrote collaborations for Arturo magazine in 1944. He co-founded Asociación Arte Concreto-Invención in 1945 and wrote Manifiesto Invencionista [Inventionist Manifesto] with his brother. He advocated graphic and industrial design at Universidad de Buenos Aires and Politecnico di Milano.
