Guillermo Kuitca (Argentina, 1961)
He was part of the “return to painting” in the eighties; he studied with Ahuva Szlimowicz. He represented Argentina in several international biennials, such as São Paulo and Venice. His work is organized in series with recurring themes such as beds, plants, crowns of thorns and maps. His shows in places like the Museum of Modern Art in New York and Museo Reina Sofia in Madrid stand out, with an important retrospective exhibition at Pinacoteca de São Paulo.
