Alberto Greco (Argentina, 1931-Catalonia, 1965)
He studied with Cecilia Marcovich and Tomás Maldonado. In 1954 he traveled to Europe and had a show in Paris. He returned to Buenos Aires, where he painted a mural at Facultad de Derecho [Law School] and presented his works at Antígona gallery. In 1959 he joined Movimiento Informalista Argentino [Argentinean Informalist Movement]. He presented the exhibition Las monjas [The Nuns] in the early sixties, made his first urban intervention, and presented Cristo 63 in Italy. He published Manifesto Dito dell'Arte Vivo and settled in Spain to work on Gran manifesto-rollo del arte-dito. He died by suicide in Barcelona in 1965.
