Luis Seoane López (Argentina, 1910-Spain,1979)


Leading painter, designer, editor and cultural promoter. He alternated between editing albums and creating oil paintings; he made about fifty murals in Buenos Aires, where he experimented with new materials. He studied law in Spain and joined the political movement supporting the Republic. Exiled in Buenos Aires, he founded the weekly Galicia libre [Free Galicia} and directed Galicia magazine in 1936. He made the leap to painting and showed his works for the first time in the forties. He held exhibitions at Galería Bonino and in cities such as Montevideo, London and New York since 1954.
