Leopoldo Presas (Argentina, 1915-2009)
He attended courses by Lino Enea Spilimbergo at Instituto Argentino de Artes Gráficas in 1935. Although he started out in figurative art, he tried expressionism. He was a member of Grupo Orión, which presented the first surrealist exhibition in Argentina in 1939. He relocated to Paris in 1979 and returned in 1987. He was appointed as President of Sociedad Argentina de Artistas Plásticos and received the Gran Premio de Honor-Salón Nacional in 1959.
