Liliana Porter (Argentina, 1941)
She enrolled at Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes Manuel Belgrano, lived in Mexico, and then moved to New York, where she co-founded The New York Graphic Workshop. Her work includes engravings, drawings, installations, photography, video, and theater; it explores representation and the tension between fiction and reality. She held shows at institutions such as MoMA in New York, among others, and was featured at Radical Women: Latin American Art 1960-1985 at the Brooklyn Museum.
