Documenta 2017 - Documenta 2017. Financial support for producing The Parthenon of Books by Marta Minujín, the largest public artwork at Documenta14 in Kassel, Germany. Also provided assistance for editing and publishing a book on the work.


Marta Minujín (Argentina, 1943)

A multimedia artist and pioneer of pop art, she studied at Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes and Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes. She traveled to Paris in 1961 and performed her first happening, La destrucción [The Destruction]. She created ephemeral works, such as Partenón de libros [Parthenon of Books] in 1983. Throughout her career she explored diverse media and techniques with a unique imprint. She received Konex awards in 1982 and 2002 and had shows at high-ranking national and international organizations.
