Magdalena Jitrik (Argentina, 1966)


Due to the political crisis in Argentina, she lived in Mexico, where she studied at Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas, UNAM. She addresses twentieth century leftist political history and artistic avant-garde; she revisits socialism, the Russian Revolution, and workers' struggles. She combines geometry, Formalist painting, and writing. She was a member of Taller Popular de Serigrafía and had shows in diverse spaces.
