Rómulo Macció (Argentina, 1931-2016)


A self-taught painter, he began his career in advertising and graphic design in 1945. His first solo show was held in 1956. He joined the Siete Pintores group in 1957 and became a member of the Nueva Figuración group from 1961 to 1965. He explored the “broken vision” and chaos as an artistic approach. He represented Argentina in several biennials and had exhibitions in many cities. He received major awards, such as Gran Premio de Honor in 1967.
