Luis Felipe Noé (Argentina, 1933)


Outstanding artist, theorist and teacher. He co-founded the Otra Figuración group and, after its dissolution, moved to New York, where he explored new boundaries of canvas. He returned to Buenos Aires and opened the bar Bárbaro. He went into exile in Paris after the military coup of 1976 and carried on his visual experimentation. His work was shown at important museums such as Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes in Buenos Aires and Museo del Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico. He received awards such as Premio Nacional Di Tella, two Guggenheim Fellowships and Premio Konex de Brillante.
