1996 Foto Color Cibacheme 49 X 49 cm
Marcos López (Argentina, 1958)
His photographs are like X-rays of an era, where black and white scenes capture marginal urbanity and family values, with a gaze between homage and humor. He introduced bold color and quotes from classical art in his Pop Latino series in the nineties. He represented Argentina in international biennials such as Photoquai in Paris and Havana. He published the books Retratos [Portraits], Pop Latino [Latin Pop] and El Jugador [The Player]. He received awards such as Pilar Citoler and Konex de Platino.
