Fernanda Laguna (Argentina, 1972)
An influential artist whose practice spans visual arts, literature, and arts management, she began showing her work at Centro Cultural Rojas in 1994 and co-founded Belleza y Felicidad in 2001. She created independent art spaces and published books. Her work fuses visual art, literature, and social activism, using inexpensive materials and everyday life symbols to bring some kind of pop beauty to mind. She had exhibitions at major organizations in Argentina and abroad; her works are included in collections such as Museo Reina Sofía in Madrid, Guggenheim Museum in New York, and Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires.
