Gyula Kosice (Ferdinand Fallik) (Czech Republic,1924-Argentina, 2016)


Born in Košice (present-day Slovakia), he arrived in Argentina in 1928. He studied at private art workshops and Escuela de Bellas Artes Manuel Belgrano. He joined the Arturo magazine group in 1944 and co-founded the Madí Movement. La ciudad hidroespacial [The Hydrospatial City] (1946), a plan for a floating city that synthesizes his futuristic and utopian vision, is one of his most appreciated works. He took part in international exhibitions and won multiple awards.
