Nicolás García Uriburu (Argentina, 1937- 2016)
He studied Architecture at Universidad de Buenos Aires while developing his artistic output. He showed his works for the first time in 1954 at Galería Müller. In the sixties, he approached landscapes and won the Braque prize. He took part in noteworthy international exhibitions such as The Emergent Decade and Documenta 7; he was a pioneer of Land Art and Environmental Art. His Coloración del Gran Canal [Coloring of the Grand Canal] in 1968 at the Venice Biennale context was outstanding.
