Vicente Forte (Argentina, 1912-1980)
He graduated from Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes in 1935. His work is typified by planimetry, pure colors and decomposition of forms, some kind of synthetic cubism. He co-founded Grupo Orión. Since 1947 he had shows in several galleries and took part in biennials. He won awards such as Gran Premio de Honor-Salón Nacional in 1962 and Primer Premio-Salón de Santa Fe in 1953. He dabbled in tapestries and ceramics and worked as a Technical Drawing teacher.
