Raquel Forner (Argentina,1902-1988)
Graduated from Academia Nacional de Bellas Artes in 1922 and took part in Primer Salón Universitario de La Plata in 1926. She traveled to Europe in 1929 and joined Grupo de París. Her career transitions from naturalism to expressionism, developing series inspired by human tragedies and the space trails started by Russians and Americans. She founded Cursos Libres de Arte Plástico in 1932 and was awarded a Medalla de Oro in 1937, as well as Gran Premio de Honor in 1956.
