Jorge De la Vega (Argentina, 1930-1971)
He attended Sociedad Estímulo de Bellas Artes and then started Architecture at Universidad de Buenos Aires. Since 1953 he made figurative paintings. He joined Nueva Figuración in 1960 and moved to Paris in 1962. In 1965 he relocated to the United States, where he adopted elements of pop and psychedelic art. In 1968 he returned to Buenos Aires and began his career as a singer-songwriter, then became a reference of the new Argentinean song.
