Cynthia Cohen (Buenos Aires 1969)

Her images are embedded in neo-pop art, starting from the foundational idea of pop related to popular culture. She uses vibrant colors, creating a unique world filled with humor and irony, where she metaphorically alludes to various everyday and social situations. In her early works, she reflects on female subjectivity, highlighting the abuse of patriarchal power and the inferiority of women in traditional heterosexual relationships and marriage. Themes of information flow and desire also permeate her work. She studied at the National School of Fine Arts Prilidiano Pueyrredón and attended workshops with María Mihanovich, Marcia Schvartz, and Pablo Suárez. She took art history courses with Laura Batkis.
