Feliciano Centurión (Paraguay, 1962-Argentina, 1996)


His work, comprising embroidery, crochet knitting and blankets, explores intimate and emotional themes. Trained at Escuela de Artes de Formosa and Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes Prilidiano Pueyrredón, he was key at the Centro Cultural Rojas under Gumier Maier. Diagnosed with HIV, his pieces incorporated embroidered phrases revealing disease and religion. He had international shows at Asunción, London, and New York.
