Marcelo Pombo (Argentina, 1959)


He started showing works related to gay culture and the underground scene in the late eighties. He was a member of the Centro Cultural Rojas group that influenced Argentinean art in the nineties. His work, bringing together decoration and crafts, evolved into synthetic enamel paintings. His work is featured in several prominent collections. He presented his retrospective exhibition Marcelo Pombo, un artista del pueblo [A people’s artist] at Colección Fortabat in 2015.
