Libero Badii (Italy, 1916-Argentina, 2001)
Drawing artist, engraver, painter, and sculptor, he stands out for his sculptures in polychrome wood. His research about sculptural space and primitive energy differentiates him among his generation. He studied at Escuela Nacional de Artes Decorativas and Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes Ernesto de la Cárcova. He won several awards, such as Gran Premio de Honor Presidente de la Nación Argentina in 1953 and Premio Konex de Honor de Artes Visuales in 2002.
