Roberto Aizenberg (Argentina,1928-1996)


A surrealist artist with influences from metaphysical painting, he studied at Antonio Berni’s workshop and was a trainee under Batlle Planas. His first solo show was held in 1958. He was featured at the São Paulo International Biennial in 1963 and in remarkable exhibitions such as Surrealismo en la Argentina. He went into exile between 1977 and 1984 due to the de facto regime. His works are included in collections such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York and Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes in Buenos Aires.
